This month saw the arrival of In Situ Chemical Oxidation for Groundwater Remediation, a comprehensive guide to state-of-the-art ISCO practices. The book, which was edited by Robert Siegrist, Michelle Crimi, and Thomas Simpkin, features contributions from XDD President Mike Marley and XDD Project Manager Brant Smith, Ph.D., P.E.

Published by Springer as part of the SERDP/ESTCP Environmental Remediation Technology Series, this volume provides comprehensive up-to-date descriptions of the principles and practices of ISCO for groundwater remediation based on a decade of intensive research, development, and demonstrations, and lessons learned from commercial field applications.

The intended audience for this volume includes remediation professionals, decision makers, and practicing engineers and scientists who select, design, and operate ISCO remedial systems, as well as researchers seeking to improve the current state-of-the-art.
