Engineer/Scientist/Geologist I (Quakertown, PA)

An Engineer/Scientist I will perform a wide range of duties related to environmental sampling and data analysis, reporting, testing, and operation of soil & groundwater remediation systems. This position requires a conscientious self-starter who is able to adapt within a dynamic office and field environment. Travel and field work is required. Salary will be commensurate with credentials.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementation of field activities (including site work, drilling, pilot testing, maintenance, etc.).
- Supervise drilling and well installation, and perform geological characterization of soil cores and soil sampling.
- Conduct general environmental sampling (low-flow groundwater sampling, air monitoring, etc.)
- Perform thorough analyses and interpretation of geochemical/hydrogeologic data and system operational data.
- Prepare technical reports related to scientific and operational aspects of field operations.
- Perform field chemical oxidation treatment (pilot and full-scale operations).
- System operation and maintenance and system optimization. Equipment troubleshooting capabilities and mechanical aptitude a plus.
Qualifications:
Minimum requirements are a BS degree in engineering, geology or a related technical field. Attention to detail and good writing skills are a must. Hands-on attitude and mechanical aptitude is desired. Candidate must have good computer skills that include use of word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Candidate must also be authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction as to duration, and pass a background check, drug test and OSHA-based medical physical.
