XDD Gets Tough On TCA In FMC's Latest Peroxygen Talk
This month's Peroxygen Talk features XDD president Mike Marley and XDD's treatability laboratory director Dr. Brant Smith as guest authors to discuss chlorinated ethanes, and in particular, 1,1,1-Trichloroethane (TCA). Marley and Smith explain several characteristics of this problematic class of contaminants to help readers better understand the potential fate, transport and treatment options for TCA in the subsurface environment. The article then goes on to describe how XDD employed various in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) technologies to remediate TCA successfully at two separate sites.
